Africa Media is a wildlife and nature focused content creation and training company established by Ryan Johnson and Fiona Ayerst. We are located in the heart of South Africa, and enjoy incredible access to both the marine and terrestrial wonders of the African continent. Our core interest is in the production of unique and captivating wildlife and environmental content in either the written, photographic or video mediums.

Director / Owner

Co-founder of Africa Media in 2012 after transitioning across from academia to wildlife and underwater film production

Robyn Green

Social Media Manager

Robyn joined the Africa Media in 2018 to bring a young and enthusiastic approach to our social media and marketing campaigns.

Marketing and Sales

From her country office, Jackie communicates with prospective interns considering joining the our wildlife media training programs.

Savannah Olivier

Course instructor – Underwater Photography

A coastal child, Savannah grew up exploring the waters of Sodwana Bay. Born into a popular SCUBA business, she developed as a diver and photographer since her youth.

Ashleigh de Villiers

Course instructor – Wildlife & Travel Photography

A professional wildlife and adventure sports photographer from Cape Town, Ashleigh offers experience to train our wildlife and Travel photographic interns

Rouxne van der Westhuizen

Course instructor – Environmental Journalism

A journalism (B.Sc. Honours) graduate from Potchefstroom University, Rouxne is the teams specialist environmental journalist and internship program instructor
