Africa Media offers four different training programs for aspiring students and professionals looking to advance their skills in environmental media and to explore the wilds of Southern Africa
Africa Media offers four programs in wildlife media. These include (a) wildlife filmmaking, (b) wildlife and travel photography, (c) environmental and travel journalism and (d) underwater photography and videography.
Each program lasts for a month, and we run between May and November annually. The programs are targeted towards gap-year students, undergraduate students and postgraduate students looking to live their wildlife and media passion and experience the charismatic wilds of Africa. They are also attractive to a number of young professionals looking to diversify their expertise (e.g. moving from corporate film to wildlife).
These programs run annually between May and November. Each months programs have an arrival date on the 1st, orientation on the 2nd, run form the 3rd to the 29th, and departure is on the 30th of each month.
Our interns produce documentaries, wildlife / underwater photographic portfolios and journal articles. Please click to see some of our students past work
