Awesome click, and thank-you for your willingness to assist us in recruiting new students onto our internship programs. Please take a few minutes to ensure you are happy with the terms and conditions contained in the MOU, as submitting means that you have read and agree to our terms. Best of luck, and we look forward to building a great partnership with you.
Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions form a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which is an agreement that governs the wishes of the submitting party (RECRUITER) and Africa Media (AM) to enter a formal relationship to manage their collaboration in the four Africa Media Internship Programs listed below:
- Underwater Photography
- Wildlife and Travel Photography
- Environmental and Travel Journalism
- Wildlife Film-Making
1. AFRICA MEDIA undertakes to contribute the following:
1.1 Provide high-quality photos; a promotional video; a poster; a PowerPoint presentation and recommendations for marketing the programs available online
1.2 Administrative support where necessary.
1.3 Allocate credit to the correct RECRUITER by querying all booked interns on how they booked.
1.4 Pay RECRUITER remuneration as stipulated by section 3.
2. Recruiter undertakes to contribute the following:
2.1 To actively market the AM programs to his/her friends, colleagues and acquaintances and extended network of potential interns;
2.3 To represent AM and the programs that it offers in a professional and accurate way
2.4 To recruit interns into any of the four programs. By ‘recruit’ we mean actively engage with prospects until they have booked onto a program and paid the required non-refundable deposit.
2.5 To advise the course owners timeously of any questions or issues that may arise from the process, enabling smooth and informed direct communications with a prospect.
2.6 To ensure queries from prospective interns are quickly and effectively dealt with by the RECRUITER
2.7 Communicate the identity of any prospect that has applied for a program to ensure that you are recognised and awarded the commission for the recruitment
3.1 AM will pay RECRUITER USD200 for each intern recruited via a Paypal. This commission is ‘earned’ once a prospect has paid a non-refundable deposit of USD750 to AM and it reflects in their account.
3.2 If a recruited intern pays a non-refundable deposit but cancels for the program then the RECRUITER will receive a reduced commission of USD100.
3.3 The RECRUITER will pay associated PayPal charges involved with the transfer
3.4 Financial payout to RECRUITERS will occur only twice per year at the 1st of May and at the 1st of November. It is incumbent upon RECRUITER to ensure AM has all the necessary information and documentation to enable them to make any payments due
4. Terms and conditions
4.1 This MOU will come into effect on the date of submission (of below application form) herein and will run for one year.
4.2 To ensure it is meeting the rights of both parties, this agreement is eligible to be reviewed annually
4.3 Either party has the right to terminate after giving the other notice via email, which email must be acknowledged by the receiver.
4.4 A RECRUITER is only eligible for a credit if the recruited intern came from their individual marketing efforts and not as a referral from AFRICA MEDIA or any of its marketing efforts. If there is a dispute, and only as a last resort, AFRICA MEDIA will ask the recruited intern how they were recruited.
4.5 Should there be any legal action flowing from this agreement then the Mossel Bay Magistrates Court will have jurisdiction. Both parties agree to receive notices and documentation via the email listed under their names at the bottom of this agreement.
