Adventure drives me. My mother once told me that from the moment I was born, I was always trying to wriggle out of her arms.
This drive is still true today. I am a Vancouver, Canada, based cinematographer and filmmaker with a strong desire to explore the world around me. And for me, there is no better way to do this, then through the lens of a camera.
I have traveled the globe on a number of fascinating projects and have shot, directed, and produced various short documentaries and corporate pieces from these travels. Covering topics as diverse as water contamination and the plight of Samlor drivers (three-wheeled bicycles) in Thailand; a luthier on Vancouver Island; Canadian ophthalmologists on cataract surgery missions in Uganda; and most recently, a short documentary about a wildlife artist and game driver in South Africa.
I have always had some sort of camera fixed on many of the interesting aspects of the world. Earlier in my career, I worked as a graphic designer/art director and illustrator. It is these experiences that have provided me with the discipline and creative eye that one needs to capture and tell interesting, compelling and untold stories.
I am a highly motivated and creative individual inspired by; adventure, fascinating people, wildlife, and the rays of light that illuminate these subjects.
With over ten years of experience in production, I have worked on a wide variety of projects and I have a range of high-end professional equipment and can work with whatever camera/equipment suits the job I would be hired for.
I am also available to travel to anywhere the next job would take me.
